About NSE

Uniting Nigerian engineers since 1958.

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is the foremost umbrella professional body for all engineers of Nigerian origin, wherever they practise. Founded in 1958, the Society provides a common forum for engineers in all disciplines — Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Agricultural, Environmental, Metallurgical and more.

Our mission

To advance the science and practice of engineering in all its ramifications for the benefit of the public, and to sustain the ethics, discipline and standards of the engineering profession in Nigeria.

Governance

The Society is governed by an elected Council led by the President, supported by the Executive Secretary and a national secretariat in Abuja. NSE operates through branches across every state of the Federation and technical divisions covering each engineering specialisation.
